First, we'll stroll through the historic center of Skopelos and head to the Church of Panagitsa of Pyrgos, a temple dedicated to the Virgin Mary that's located in a fortress. While we soak up the charm of this whitewashed church with a small slate dome, we'll enjoy unbeatable panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.
Then, the sun will begin to set and you'll be left speechless by the golden hues staining this island of the Sporades archipelago. We'll continue our tour of Skopelos approaching the Venetian Castle, also known as the Kastro. From here we'll get a new perspective of the city, the harbor, and the sea - a great spot for a photo!
Afterward, we'll witness the different architectural phases Skopelos has gone through over the centuries under the magical light of the setting sun.
