After introductions, we'll delve into Jaffa, a veritable labyrinth of narrow streets and limestone buildings. Did you know that it used to be an independent city? In 1954, it merged with Tel Aviv and they became a single municipal entity. In the streets, we'll see a mix of art galleries, historic architecture and the timeless atmosphere that defines this ancient port city.
We'll continue the tour by arriving at St. Peter's Church, a remarkable monument that has stood for over 130 years. Inside, you'll discover its serene character and learn about its importance to the diverse communities of Jaffa.
Next, we'll head to the promenade to enjoy panoramic views of the Port of Jaffa, famous for its connection to the biblical story of Jonah and the Whale. It's the perfect time to take a break, enjoy the sea breeze and admire one of the oldest ports in the world.
After a 2-hour tour, we'll end the tour so that you can continue exploring the area on your own.
