Discover the natural beauty of Parque das Laranjeiras on this hiking route to El Dedo de Deus, also known as Pico da Canastra - a truly unique landscape!
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Parque das Laranjeiras where we'll take a half-hour stroll to the starting point of our hiking route.
Upon arrival, we'll start on our way down the hiking trail to El Dedo de Dios, which translates to 'God's Finger.' Did you know that this mountain ridge is also known as the Pico da Canastra? Over the course of two and a half hours, we'll cover over 3.5 kilometers (about 2.2 miles) until we reach the top to admire the natural environment of the Serra Gaucha.
After enjoying the panoramic views, we'll start the descent route through El Dedo de Dios. In this section, we'll see vegetation typical of dry climates, with different types of cacti. On the way, we'll make stops to learn how to differentiate between some botanical species.
During the tour, we'll also be able to listen to the sounds of howler monkeys and some of the native birds of the region, as this is a place of incredible biodiversity.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point of the hike and then to Parque das Laranjeiras, where we'll arrive four and a half hours after pickup.
