Fancy seeing one of Patagonia’s most stunning landscapes from above? We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia, and in just 10 minutes, we’ll arrive at the departure point for this helicopter tour to Cabo San Pío Lighthouse. Let’s go!
Once there, we’ll give a brief safety talk, get prepared, and take off. The helicopter will lift smoothly as the world’s southernmost city unfolds beneath us like a mosaic of rooftops and snow-capped mountains.
As we gain altitude, the landscape becomes almost surreal, dominated by the Fuegian Andes rising like ancient walls. We’ll admire the Beagle Channel winding through the islands of the Mitre Peninsula, appearing to float on a glassy surface.
We’ll fly over pristine valleys, reddish lenga forests, and windswept coasts, accompanied by the sense of freedom only the end of the world can offer. Before long, the iconic silhouette of the Cabo San Pío Lighthouse will appear, a white-and-red sentinel braving the storms since 1919.
We’ll land in this remote, wild location, one of the southernmost points on the continent. You’ll have 10 minutes of free time to walk to the lighthouse, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans seem to merge on the horizon. Take in its structure and the breathtaking view of the northern Beagle Channel and Nueva Island, a truly awe-inspiring scene!
The best part? We’ll toast with a glass of sparkling wine in this incredible setting before flying back to the departure point in Ushuaia. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel, concluding a 2.5-hour adventure.
