Explore the landscapes of Tierra del Fuego on this trekking route on Mount Susana. Discover the beauty of the Beagle Channel and Navarino Island.
Description
At the appointed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia and drive to a trail in the Tierra del Fuego National Park, from where we'll embark on an exciting hike on Mount Susana.
During this 8-kilometre (5-mile) hike, we'll cross slopes of up to 400 metres (1312 feet). Along the way, we'll make several stops to enjoy the scenery of the Fuegian landscape and take some photos. After a walk of approximately 2 hours, we'll reach the summit of Mount Susana, located at an altitude of 610 metres (2000 feet).
From the summit, we'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Beagle Channel. We'll even be able to see the shores of Chile, including the islands of Hoste and Navarino. After spending some time enjoying the views, we'll begin our descent back to the starting point.
On this downhill route, we'll have fabulous views of the Darwin mountain range and the Tierra del Fuego National Park. We'll also stop halfway down for a picnic lunch, including a traditional meal accompanied by a hot drink.
After lunch, we'll resume our journey and conclude the hike at the trail's starting point from which we started. At this point, our transport will be waiting for us to take us back to Ushuaia. About 6 hours after pickup we'll arrive back at your hotel.
