Day Trip Details
The journey will begin at the designated time from the starting point you selected. Here awaits the boat that will take you to Redonda Island, one of the most beloved gems of Beagle Channel. As the boat leaves the pier behind, you'll be greeted with one of the most typical landscapes of the southernmost point of the American continent.
On board the boat, you'll see how the silhouette of Ushuaia slowly becomes smaller, framed by the snowy mountains of the Martial Mountains. On the other side, you'll start to see the channel's waters. After 15 to 20 minutes of sailing, you'll marvel at Redonda Island, which will start to appear like a piece of land covered by forest.
Once we arrive, you'll have 4 hours of free time to explore Redonda Island at your own pace. You can stroll on the trails in the Fuegian forest of lengas, ñires, and coihues. On the hiking trails, you'll smell wet soil, wood, and Potassium nitrate. These trails are well-marked and accessible, so they're perfect to connect with the Patagonian nature calmly.
We recommend you visit the natural viewpoints, where you'll have the chance to see the beautiful scenic views of Beagle Channel, the mountains of Chile, and even the silhouette of Ushuaia from far away. Did you know that Redonda Island has one of the southernmost post offices on the planet? Here, you can stamp postcards with the mark of the End of the World. It's the perfect souvenir!
Finally, we'll return to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 5 hours.
