The Island of Tabarca in Alicante is an undiscovered paradise along the Costa Blanca. Lose yourself in its beauty on this excursion from Valencia. You'll be blown away!
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll start making our way from Valencia toward Alicante. After 2 hours of travel, we'll arrive in Santa Pola. At the town's port, we'll take a 30-minute ferry to the island of Tabarca!
We'll moor at the island's dock at around 10 am. You'll then have free time in Tabarca until 4:15 pm! Despite its size, Tabarca has a number of interesting sites! We recommend you take a stroll through the island's picturesque streets and enjoy the wonderful Mediterranean architecture, including the church of San Pedro and Pablo.
We also recommend a visit to the Museo Nueva Tabarca (New Tabarca Museum), to which entrance is free. Inside, you'll find numerous archeological pieces related to the history of the island. The museum also contains an audiovisual room, which displays a fascinating documentary about the relationship between man and sea.
The Tabarca Lighthouse and Trancada Gate (Puerta de Trancada/San Gabriel) are also worth a visit! Another great appeal of Tabarca is its cuisine. In the island's restaurants, you can have some delicious paella or grilled fish! In the afternoon, you'll take the ferry back to the port.
We'll dock at the port of Santa Pola and return to your hotel in Valencia approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes after the meeting time.
