Wroclaw's long and complex past and its diverse cultural and religious heritage is representative of Europe as a whole. Wroclaw has seen ups and downs: from wealth as an important trade centre to almost complete annihilation in World War II. Begin your journey through Wroclaw's fascinating history at the statue of Aleksander Fredro in the Rynek: the Main Market Square that was founded in the 12th century. One of the largest markets in Europe, the square is lined with picturesque Medieval buildings, amongst which the 12th century Gothic-style Old City Hall and the 14th century St. Elizabeth's Church stand out as two of the most iconic landmarks in the city.

Over the course of your two-and-a-half-hour free walking tour, you'll stroll through quaint historic streets and past contemporary buildings, reflecting the incredible changes Wroclaw has gone through over the centuries. From ancient churches to the famous statues of dwarfs, you will learn all about the past, present and future of this fascinating Polish city thanks to your expert English-speaking guide.

During the holiday season (December to January) please meet between the Aleksander Fredro monument statue and Town Hall.
