Interested in climbing one of the tallest peaks in Tucamán? We'll pick you up at your hotel in Yerba Buena at the designated time to set off south, traveling along winding roads through towering cliffs and lush vegetation.
First, we'll reach El Mollar, a cozy town where you'll enjoy a breakfast that will give you the necessary energy for this hike. Afterward, we'll head to the entrance of the Provincial Los Ñuñorcos Park. After an introduction, we'll begin hiking to the summit of Nuñorco Grande, the highest hill in the area.
We'll hike along the Los Postes trail, where we'll descend circling the hill, and walk along gentle trails that pass through viewpoints that offer stunning scenic views of the Angostura Dam and El Mollar. As we ascend, you'll feel the altitude start to take effect and the slopes will get steeper. You'll be climbing 9842 feet (3000 meters) above sea level!
After this challenging adventure, we'll reach the top. Good job! Did you know that the locals guarantee that this is Tucumán's most beautiful summit? You can see this for yourself as you admire the peaks of the nearby hills rising from the blanket of clouds.
We'll then enjoy a well-deserved lunch at the top of Nuñorco Grande and you'll have 2 hours of free time to relax. Lastly, we'll begin our descent toward the vehicle and embark on our return trip to Tafí del Valle to end the day on a high note with a tasty afternoon snack.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Yerba Buena 14 hours after pickup.
