At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Amman to kick off this private tour. A city rich in history and contrasts, known in ancient times as Philadelphia, awaits us. Let's get started!
We'll begin the tour by driving through Jabal Al-Hussein until we reach the Citadel, the highest point in the city. From this viewpoint, you'll have an impressive view of ancient Amman.
We'll see the imposing Roman, Byzantine and Islamic ruins and admire the Roman Amphitheatre, carved into a hillside in the 2nd century BC, the most important remain of Amman's predecessor, the Roman city of Philadelphia. We'll also pass by the Raghadan Palace, where the late King Hussein is buried.
Next, we'll head to the city centre, where you'll have free time to stroll around and explore the lively gold and spice markets, soaking up the authentic atmosphere of Amman. The tour will continue past important buildings such as the Parliament, the King Abdullah Blue Mosque, the Grand Husseini Mosque and the Orthodox Church.
We'll continue the route into the historic area of Jabal Al-Webdeih, a neighbourhood famous for its art galleries and bohemian atmosphere. Then, we'll stroll along the famous Rainbow Street in the Jabal Amman Quarter, a most colourful place.
