We'll pick you up from your hotel in Bento Gonçalves at the appointed time and start this tour of the most important wine estates in Serra Gaúcha. Doesn't that sound good?
During the visit to the wineries we'll learn about the modern technologies used in their facilities to obtain wine on a large scale, as well as the traditional methods used by the smaller estates with more limited production.
First, we'll stop by the Aurora Cittá winery for a visit lasting about 1 hour. Did you know this winery, founded back in 1931, is the largest in Brazil? Plus, it's actually made up of cooperative families who've dedicated themselves to growing grapes. Afterward, we'll hit up the shop for some delicious Devorata chocolate truffles.
Later on, we'll head over to the Michele Carraro winery for a 40-minute visit. Once we've checked it out, we'll make our way to the Valbrenta cheese factory, where the staff will show us exactly how their tasty cheese is made.
After learning more about these two important parts of the region's cusine, we'll take you back to your hotel four hours after the start of the tour.
