Do you want to know the secrets of Castilla-La Mancha's star product? On this tour, we'll visit a cheese factory in Bolaños de Calatrava and do a workshop with a tasting. You don't want to miss it!
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Minas Street, in Bolaños de Calatrava. Once we're all together, we'll visit a cheese factory where we'll also participate in a cheese-making workshop, which will last 2 hours.
To begin with, we'll put on the proper attire to tour the factory and give you the first tips on the techniques used in the production of the flagship product of Castilla-La Mancha. During the workshop, we'll follow all the necessary steps, such as filtering and pasteurization.
While we wait for the cheese to be ready, we'll take a tour of the cheese factory's facilities to continue learning about this dairy product, from its origins to the varieties that are made in Bolaños. To complete the visit, we'll do a tasting of the different types of cheese from the factory.
When we return to the cheese workshop, we'll carry out the turning and molding of the cheese, and finally have our own cheese!
Lastly, we'll have a snack and end the visit to the factory of Bolaños de Calatrava after 3 hours.
