On this boat trip from Caxias do Sul, we'll sail on a catamaran to see the Guaíba Lake and then take a sightseeing bus tour of the city center, a jam-packed day!
Boat Trip to Guaíba
We'll pick you up at 7:30 am at your hotel in Caxias do Sul and head over to the pier in Porto Alegre. There we'll embark on a peaceful catamaran ride that will allow us to contemplate the skyline of the city.
After a 30-minute boat ride, we'll arrive in Guaíba. We'll then set off on a sightseeing tour to discover the main points of interest in the city. On board the bus, the guides will be dressed in typical gaucho costumes and we'll also be accompanied by musicians in the vehicle who will serenade us as we ride!
The bus tour of Guaíba will take us past the iconic cypress of Farroupilha and the church of Nossa Senhora do Livramento. Afterwards, we'll stop at one of the local restaurants so you can have some free time to buy lunch if you wish.
We'll then continue our tour of Guaíba at the Vitrina Cultural: an exhibition and conference center where we'll learn about the history of the Farroupilha Revolution. We'll also see the Memorial da Chama Crioula, a very important symbol for the gauchos.
The route will continue to the Escadaria 14 de Outubro viewpoint, where we'll get breathtaking views of the Guaíba Lake and Porto Alegre. Finally, we'll go to the Carlos Nobre Museum, where we'll see the private collection of the life and work of one of the most notable figures in science.
After visiting this final exhibition, we'll return to your hotel in Caxias do Sul, where we'll arrive at 6 pm.
