At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu and set off on this day trip to the Sichuan Bamboo Sea, also known as the Shunan Bamboo Forest.
Once there, after an hour's drive, we'll start exploring this impressive bamboo forest that stretches for more than 120 km (74 mi), creating a unique green landscape. As we walk along its paths, we'll be able to see up to 428 different types of bamboo.
The route through this natural enclave will also take us along suspended walkways until we reach the glass bridge, undoubtedly the star attraction of the place. From this viewpoint, we'll be able to appreciate spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. You'll love it!
After 3 hours exploring the Bamboo Sea, we'll head to the ancient village of Pingle. This historic settlement, more than 2000 years old, is famous for its traditional wooden houses, bridges and cobblestone streets. There, you'll have 2 hours of free time to have lunch, explore its charming corners, visit its temples and feel the atmosphere of ancient China.
Finally, we'll meet back up and travel back to the departure point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 10 hours.
