Discover the archaeological sites of Miletus, Didyma and Priene with this excursion from Izmir. You'll feel as if you've traveled back in time as you learn about the history of the Greeks and Romans.
At 8 am on the morning of the tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Izmir. Without wasting any time, we'll head to our first destination on the tour: Priene.
Turkey boasts a large number of archaeological sites of great historical importance, Priene included. Once we arrive, we'll explore the ruins of this ancient Hellenistic city and visit its impressive Greek theater.
Then, we'll drive to the ancient city of Miletus, just a few kilometers away. Here, you'll stroll among the ruins and discover its huge amphitheater, a Byzantine fortress and the Roman baths, among many other things. You won't be able to stop taking pictures!
Next, our guide will take us to the ruins of Didyma, also known as Didymaion. There, you'll continue soaking up the history of the area as you visit the famous Temple of Apollo and learn more about the legends of the gods.
After this last stop, we’ll give you some free time to have lunch on your own. Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel in Izmir, where we’ll arrive at approximately 5 pm.
