Are you a fan of mountain sports? In this snowshoeing tour through the Collados del Asón we'll walk through one of the most beautiful natural areas of Cantabria.
At the indicated time we'll meet at the Collados del Asón Natural Park car park, where we'll learn about the technical details of the route we're going to do and we'll get kitted out ourselves with all the right equipment.
Once we're ready, we'll set off on a snowshoe walk through the Collados del Asón. On this route we'll walk through the snowy landscapes of one of the most beautiful mountain areas of Cantabria. In winter, this area of the Cantabrian Mountains is especially beautiful.
As we travel through the valley of the Asón cols, which is characterised by its limestone outcrops, we'll pass through small beech and Cantabrian holm oak forests.
We'll also pass through an area of meadows used for livestock farming and we'll see some large limestone massifs known as labyrinths. Do you know why they are called this? You'll have to come along find out!
Finally, after a circular route of approximately 5 hours, we'll finish the route at the meeting point.
