The Alps and Lake Geneva are two iconic sites in Switzerland. On this day trip to Les Diablerets and Montreux from Lausanne, we'll explore the countryside and enjoy the Glacier 3000 Cable Car.
Description
At the time indicated, we'll meet outside the Lausanne Aquatis Vennes aquarium, and from here we'll head to Les Diablerets.
After an hour of travel, we'll arrive in this area, one of the most beautiful alpine towns in Vaud. In this green land with wooden houses, you'll have 4 hours of free time to explore and admire the snowy peaks. In addition, you can enjoy some special Swiss cuisine.
In the afternoon, we'll say goodbye to the alpine scenery and move west to the shores of Lake Geneva, where we'll stop in the beautiful town of Montreux. Here, you'll have an hour to explore its charming streets.
On your walk around Montreux, you must have a photo taken by the statue of Freddie Mercury. Did you know that the singer used to live in this city? You can find his statue right by the shore of Lake Geneva, one of the most photographed areas of the town.
Finally, from Montreux, we'll return to Lausanne. We expect to arrive at the meeting point 8 hours 45 minutes after initial pickup.
Glacier 3000 Cable Car
If you choose this option, you'll also have access to the Glacier 3000 cable car included. Thus, during your free time in Les Diablerets, you can reach 3,000 metres (9,840 feet) in height to visit one of the most famous alpine stations in Switzerland.
As well as the cable car, your ticket to the Glacier 3000 includes access to The Peak Walk by Tissot. This is a 108 metre (354 feet) long and 80 cm (32 inches) wide bridge, which is suspended at 3,000 metres (9,840 feet). From this footbridge, you'll see the two peaks of the Tsanfleuron glacier: View Point and Scex Rouge.
Your ticket also includes admission to Fun Park, an enjoyable adventure park at Glacier 3000 with rides for all ages. Please bear in mind that this park is only open in Spring and Summer.
At Glacier 3000, you can also enjoy the Alpine Coaster. However, this rollercoaster isn't included in your ticket. If you want to do this, on the day of the activity, you can pay for it at its ticket office.
