Perched on the banks of the Saône River, the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne of Mâcon is just an hour’s drive from Lyon, offering an immersive journey into the world of Burgundy wines.
With this ticket, you can visit this remarkable wine tourism center at your own pace. Housed in a striking, avant-garde lighthouse-shaped building, the complex is a landmark visible to boaters on the Saône, drivers on nearby roads, and cyclists along the scenic Moselle-Saône blue route—one of the region’s most popular bike paths.
Throughout your visit, you'll find different interactive panels that will allow you to learn about the winemaking tradition of Mâcon, considered the gateway to the vineyards of southern Burgundy. You'll also discover the wine regions of Mâconnais, Côte Chalonnaise, and Côtes du Couchois, learning to distinguish the unique characteristics of their renowned wines.

The Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne of Mâcon is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. The last show takes place 1 hour before closing time.
The reduced admission rate is available to unemployed people, students, people with disabilities, education cardholders, tour guides, ICOMOS cardholders and holders of a TER train ticket to Mâcon issued at least 48 hours before the visit to the Cité. In all these cases, the corresponding supporting document and identification must be presented.
