Visiting Volendam
Volendam is a picturesque port city that began as a small fishing village. As well as the Volendam Museum, its promenade is also worth a visit. Close by you'll find a number of stands selling Dutch cheeses and the famous smoked herring.
Another of Volendam's great attractions are its photography shops, where you can take pictures wearing a traditional Dutch costume. You can even get a family picture all dressed up in traditional Dutch clothes!
