Day Trip Details
We'll meet at the door of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Marseille at the designated time and board a minibus with a guide who will reveal the most interesting traditions and curious stories of the French region of Provence.
Our first stop will be Saint-Rémy de Provence, a quiet and picturesque town where you can visit Les Antiques, famous Roman monuments that marked the entrance to the ancient city of Glanum. You'll also have the possibility to visit a recreation of the famous Van Gogh room on your own. And, on Wednesdays, we'll get to visit the lovely local market celebrated weekly.
Following that, we'll transport ourselves back to the enchanting world of the Middle Ages as we journey to Les Baux de Provence. Nestled upon a rocky outcrop in the Alpilles region, this medieval fortress awaits our exploration. During our visit, you'll have free time and if you wish, you'll be able to attend the mesmerizing sound and light show at the Carrières de Lumières, where art comes to life through captivating visual displays (tickets not included). Prepare to be immersed in a truly extraordinary experience that combines history, culture, and art.
The last stop will be Arles, where we'll follow the steps of Van Gogh, discovering the places that inspired his works. Furthermore, if you take the tour on Saturdays, you can attend the weekly market - a real Provencal tradition!
We'll arrive in Marseille after a total of 10.5 hours.
