At the time of your choice we'll meet you at the Riosequillo reservoir to hand over the kayaks. Before you start paddling, we'll give you some practical advice so that you can learn how to paddle correctly in these boats.
During the experience, you can use an individual kayak or, if you prefer to share the boat with your partner, a friend or a family member, you can opt for a double kayak or one with up to three seats. It's up to you!
Located just 80 kilometres (50 miles) from the centre of Madrid and very close to the village of Pinilla de Buitrago, the Riosequillo reservoir has become a popular recreational spot in the Lozoya valley. The construction, inaugurated in the mid-1950s, collects the waters of the Lozoya River within the Sierra de Guadarrama Nature Reserve, a natural environment protected for its biodiversity and great beauty.
While paddling on board the kayaks, you'll breathe the peaceful atmosphere of this place. You'll see storks, kites, ducks and other birds as you cross the Riosequillo reservoir, whose banks are also home to ferrets that feed on the river's crabs.
