If you like butterflies, our day trip to the Mindo Butterfly Garden is the perfect activity for you. We'll set off from Quito and spend the day learning all about these fascinating insects.
Having met up at 7:30 am on Avenida de los Shyris & Holanda, we'll hop aboard our minibus. We'll drive to the village of Mindo, located in the Andes, and step into the incredible world of the butterflies.
Once we've arrived, you'll take a souvenir photo in the famous Central Park. Afterwards, we'll take a guided tour of the Mindo Butterfly Garden.
During the tour, our guide will tell us all about the life cycles of these fascinating and colourful insects. As well as butterflies, you'll also see hummingbirds and beautiful plants such as orchids.
After we've finished our tour, we'll have a picnic lunch. You'll then have some free time to explore Mindo on your own. Once you've learnt a little more about this charming town, we'll visit a chocolate factory to learn how chocolate is made and even taste some.
It'll then be time to return to the city of Quito and finish our activity at around 7:30 pm.
