The tour will continue down Libreros Street until we reach the University of Salamanca, the oldest in Spain, where professors such as Fray Luis de León, Francisco de Vitoria, and even Unamuno gave their lectures. After carefully admiring the Picaresque details of its façade, we'll venture inside to admire the famous Sky of Salamanca, a 15th-century fresco preserved in the historic buildings of the Escuelas Menores.
Our next stop will be the two impressive cathedrals, starting with a visit to the New Cathedral, built over a period of 220 years, from 1513 to 1733. Entering the Old Cathedral is like traveling back in time to the Middle Ages, guided by its unmistakable architecture and sublime sculptures and paintings. Here we'll be able to admire the iconic cloister, once the seat of the first University of Salamanca, paying particular attention to the Chapel of Santa Barbara, where the most illustrious figures of Spanish literature all graduated from.
Lastly, after two hours, our tour through history, culture, art, and beauty will end at the Casa Lis Museum, one of the most popular in Castilla and León.
