Ready to explore the seabed of the Galapagos archipelago? Join us on this unforgettable day trip to Floreana Island and Enderby Islet, where you’ll snorkel in crystal-clear waters and uncover fascinating pirate stories!
Tour Description
At the appointed time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel on Santa Cruz Island and head to the Puerto Ayora dock, where we’ll begin our journey toward Floreana and Enderby, two of the Galapagos’ hidden gems.
After about 1.5 hours of sailing, we’ll arrive at Enderby Island, a true paradise for nature lovers. Here we’ll take a panga ride, a small boat typical of Ecuador, around its cliffs, where birds such as blue-footed boobies, frigate birds and numerous marine iguanas live.
Next, we’ll dive into the island’s crystal-clear waters for a snorkeling session among sea turtles, sea lions, eagle rays, and colorful tropical fish. From there, we’ll continue to Punta Cormorant, on the northern coast of Floreana Island.
We’ll enjoy a gentle hike along a trail surrounded by endemic flora, leading us to the largest flamingo lagoon in the archipelago. We’ll also visit a striking green sand beach, known for its high concentration of olivine crystals. Here, you’ll have another opportunity to snorkel—perhaps even spotting the elusive white-tip reef sharks that frequent the area. An unforgettable experience!
Afterward, we’ll return to the boat for a delicious lunch featuring traditional Ecuadorian cuisine as we sail to our next stop: Cueva de los Piratas (Pirates’ Cave). We’ll share the intriguing history of this former pirate hideout.
Finally, we’ll sail back to the starting point, wrapping up a full 9-hour excursion through some of the most enchanting corners of the Galapagos.
