Interested in discovering the fauna and flora of Extremadura's interior region? On this boat ride along the García de Sola Reservoir, you'll sail from Puerto Peña Beach and admire the landscapes of northern Badajoz.
Boat Ride Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Puerto Peña Beach, a cove in the north of the province of Badajoz, located about 20 minutes from Talarrubias.
From here, we'll embark on a nice boat ride along the García Sola Reservoir, where you'll discover La Siberia, a comarca in Extremadura. Along the way, you'll admire the beautiful landscapes surrounding this dam of seven gates that store the waters of the Guadiana River.
As you'll see, this reservoir is surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape, with Mediterranean forests, pine groves, and eucalyptus trees. During the journey, we'll also tell you about other botanical species common in this area of Extremadura's interior region.
You'll also try to spot native birds, like eagles, vultures, storks, falcons, kestrels, and Eurasian goshawks as we sail. We'll teach you how to distinguish the different types of birds by their size, color, and sound.
Finally, after a journey of 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll wrap up this boat ride by returning to the departure pier.
