Day Trip Details
Do you want to discover the most beautiful city in Switzerland's interior? If so, we'll meet at the Sihlquai Bus Station parking lot at the scheduled time, and from there, we'll make our way to Lucerne. You'll be amazed!
During the journey, we'll take in the Swiss countryside as we learn about the history of this beautiful area. Once we reach our destination, you'll be briefed on the time and location for our rendezvous later. This is where you'll also receive your boat ticket. Then, you'll have 6 hours of free time to explore Lucerne.
We recommend taking a stroll around the historic centre of town. Above all, it's worth visiting the banks of the Reuss River and crossing its channel via the iconic Kapellbrücke, the oldest wooden bridge in Europe. Near this boardwalk, you'll find another iconic monument called the Church of the Jesuits.
You can also take advantage of this free time to try the famed Swiss cuisine. In addition, at the indicated time on your ticket, you'll enjoy a yacht ride around Lake Lucerne. On this hour-long journey, which includes an audio guide in English, you'll see the Lucerne lakeshore and the beautiful natural landscapes surrounding the city.
After the yacht ride, you'll have free time to visit other parts of Lucerne on your own accord. One of the most famous sites is the Lion Monument, a sculpture constructed at the start of the 19th century that was carved inside a rock by the Danish artist Bertel Thorvaldsen.
Finally, we'll meet in the centre of Lucerne to begin our return journey back to the meeting point in Zurich, where we'll bring this trip to an end after 10 hours.
Activity Guide
Please keep in mind that this tour is only partially guided. The guide will only accompany you while on the bus. However, we'll provide you with the relevant information to enjoy the many charming corners of Lucerne!
Itinerary Changes
Please note that from April 18 to July 31, 2026, the boat ride around Lake Lucerne will take place in a speedboat instead of a yacht and will not include an audio guide.
