Our first stop will be the Museum of Memory, where we’ll delve into the historical events of World War II and the strategic significance of this region as part of the German defensive system. The exhibits provide a vivid look at the past, offering views into the Pozzori Bunker, one of the many underground shelters constructed by the Todt Organization between 1943 and 1944 to protect German troops.
Next up, we'll check out the bunkers of Madonna di Mao, located in Borgo a Mozzano, and La Chiesa, situated in the village of Anchiano. These sites offer further insight into the German defense system, showcasing artillery positions, and trenches.
