Adventure lovers, welcome to Vulcano Island! At the appointed time, we'll meet in front of the Geco bar to start a fascinating trekking route to climb up to the Great Crater. Let the adventure begin!
We'll start walking to the heart of the island to discover the fascinating history and geology of this amazing corner of Sicily. During this low-difficulty trekking route, we'll enjoy breathtaking views of the Aeolian archipelago. We'll even be able to see Lipari and Salina.
Did you know that, according to mythology, the god Vulcan had his forge here? When we reach the Great Crater, we'll have the opportunity to see the fumaroles of this active volcano. You should bear in mind that they emanate toxic gases and that we may come across areas with molten sulphur, so we'll take the necessary precautions to carry out the activity in complete safety. You won't have to worry about anything, we'll be with you at all times!
After enjoying the panoramic views of Vulcano Island from the top of the Great Crater, we'll start our descent. We'll continue to learn about the wild nature that we'll see on our way and, of course, we'll make stops along the way.
Finally, after 2.5 hours of hiking, we'll return to the starting point and end the tour.
